COMMUNITY
DAABON FOUNDATION: BUILDING HOUSES
In my work with the Daabon foundation, I focus on creating affordable and sustainable homes for the families that live in and around palm farms. My responsibilities include painting houses and carrying supplies to and from the build sites. As a foundation, we are dedicated to building homes that are not only safe, but also appropriate for the needs of families. Housing is essential for all and it is gratifying to see how these projects directly improve peoples’ quality of life.
DAABON FOUNDATION: FAMILY SERVICES
Our family services work, we strive to provide for peoples’ needs beyond housing, including access to drinking water, electricity and other basic infrastructure. These services create a stable and secure environment, which facilitates the growth and development of families, promoting their long-term well-being. In my role, I support the supervisory team by reviewing and documenting existing infrastructure and gaps, including potable water, electricity, windows, and doors.
C.I TEQUENDAMA FOUNDATION
In my work with the C.I. Tequendama Foundation, I strive to improve infrastructure and access to essential services for communities near palm farms, such as potable water and electricity. In addition to these infrastructural projects, we promote community development through education and social programming, contributing to a more sustainable and equitable future for families in the region. My specific responsibilities include providing childcare for participating families, planting trees to forest clear-cut areas, and providing education about palm agriculture.
